Description
Natural disasters—hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, wildfires, and earthquakes—cause billions of dollars in property loss and require extensive rebuilding efforts that take years, even decades. Allyssa Taylor, Laura Paul and Lisa Copeland know that world intimately from their work in Lahaina Town on Maui, New Orleans' Ninth Ward, and the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles respectively, and bring their stories of recovery and resiliency—from both the built world and the families affected in those areas—to both inspire and enlighten us about the realities of disaster and personal recovery.
